Kirk Mireku Sakyiamah is a young talented urban gospel musician. He is known in the Gospel Urban Music as Proverbkirk. Born in Takoradi, on 7th October 1992. Kirk is currently pursuing a degree program in B.A. Economics at the University of Education,Winneba. He is looking forward to completing his first degree program in November 2018.
He released his first single "salvation craver" in June 2015. At the age of 25. As a musician and a songwriter, he is considered as an anchor of Urban Gospel Music in Ghana and Africa as a whole and was the first urban gospel artist to organise a live urban gospel concert at the University of Education,Winneba.
Kirk is the first urban gospel artist to receive an award for the institution and also the first urban gospel artiste from Takoradi to receive an award in music. Proverbskirk who is a gifted singer and songwriter has composed urban gospel music through different genres, such as Azonto, Pop and Electro Gospel Music. He is also known by his popular catchie-phrase ”KAS33 AAABA”, which according to him means "NEVER SAY NEVER until God says its over”.
He is yet to release his dubw album debut “NEVER SAY NEVER”. The Album contains ten songs. He is considered as contemporary Gospel Music icon in Ghana, with his hit song titled, "salvation craver” released in June 2015.He has his own record label PROVERBS MUSIC, which seeks to train the youth for God's work. He won the popular students song award with his hit song "salvation craver", topping some big artistes like King Promise, who is a secular artiste in the 2017 Tertiary Music Awards-Ghana.
Proverbskirk embarked on a tour dubbed “never say never campus tour ”. Its main aim was to create awareness of Jesus and to use it as a medium to encourage morality and integrity among the youth and also to inspire them to use their various talents for God. He indeed is the fastest rising star from Ghana and has received a lot of backings from the most prominent gospel music icons.
