Politics apart from governing and managing the day to day affairs of the country has added entertainment to its numerous functions. Has it now become a tradition for musicians in some way to pay a visit to the president before one is accepted as such ?.
After the casual conversation that ensued on a social media platform, thus, Twitter some weeks ago, many popular musicians and actors have joined what I term as “journey to the flagstaff house.
If it can be recalled, this whole brouhaha came about as a result of a birthday wish to dancehall king Shatta Wale by the first gentleman of the land.
The outcome of the conversation was a visit by shatta Wale to the flagstaff house, where the president His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo resides.
Many musicians after has also expressed sentiments of wanting to meet the president. Stonebwoy upon hearing about shatta's visit to the flagstaff house, also took to twitter and expressed sentiment of wanting to also meet the president.
As if that wasn’t enough, samini of High grade family, also did same. One kumawood actor, by name Kwadwo Nkansah proverbially known as "lil Wayne" has recently expressed sentiments of also wanting to meet the president, in an interview with an Accra based radio station. He categorically said “I ll visit the president by myself even if I don’t have an appointment with him, I don’t represent any party, I am for all the parties”.
The question now is who is the next person to visit the President.
